 Muhammad  al-Tirmidhi  (Arabic: محمد الترمذي) also known as Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Humam al-Tirmidhi, Abu `Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Humam al-Tirmidhi, Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Humam, Muḥammad ibn `Umar ibn `Abd Al-Wahhab bin ʿUmar al-Tirmidhi, ʿAllāmah al-Tirmidhi or "the Imam of the Maliki School", was an important figure in the history of hadith criticism. He was born in 676/1277 in Kufa in modern-day Iraq. He died in 728/1328 in Kufa.
